Open source we use
Some of the tools on CyberAcad are other people's open-source work, running right in your browser. Here's what they are, what they do here, and their licenses.
Chrome DevTools, via Chii
The dev button on lab pages. Chii runs Chrome's own DevTools inside the page, so it works on school Chromebooks that have DevTools turned off.
MIT (Chii, chobitsu, licia), BSD-3-Clause (Chrome DevTools), and the parts inside them
Pyodide and Python
Python blocks in lessons run in your browser on Pyodide, which is Python compiled to WebAssembly. Autocomplete and lint come from jedi, parso and pyflakes.
MPL-2.0 (Pyodide), PSF-2.0 (Python), MIT (jedi, parso, pyflakes)
Clang and LLVM, via YoWASP
C blocks compile in your browser with Clang and LLD built for WebAssembly by YoWASP, using wasi-libc as the C library.
Apache-2.0 WITH LLVM-exception (LLVM), Apache-2.0 (YoWASP), wasi-libc under its own mix
The rest of the site is built on Next.js, React and a lot of smaller packages, each under its own license. Thanks to everyone who makes these. Something missing or wrong here? Tell us.
