Help keep cybersecurity education free
CyberAcad is a registered 501(c)(3) run by four high schoolers. We write short cybersecurity lessons and host live Linux labs that students 13 and up can use in a browser, for free. We are small and new, so a donation here is not disappearing into an overhead budget — it pays a server bill. Gifts are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.
Where your donation goes
We run our own infrastructure, so there is very little sitting between a donation and a lesson going live.
- The servers the labs run on
- Every lab is a Linux container running on a machine we pay for monthly. It is our largest bill by a distance, and it grows with each student who signs up.
- Writing more lessons
- We are four high schoolers writing this around school. 3 courses and 26 lessons so far, covering Linux, networking, cryptography, OSINT, forensics, web and binary exploitation, and reverse engineering. Every one of them was typed by hand, which is slow, which is why the list is still short.
- Running competitions
- We organized boroCTF in June and put CyberAcad behind it: 2,000+ competitors from 93 countries working through 100+ original challenges. Challenge servers that survive a weekend of people actively trying to break them are not free.
- Keeping it free
- No tuition, no paywall, nothing to buy first. A student with a school laptop should be able to get all the way through. Donations are why that works.
