Course outline
Built around the Tokyo Jujutsu High practice image: Ubuntu 22.04, scored live out of 100. Unit 1 Getting the Image Running Unit 2 The ReadMe Is the Rulebook Unit 3 Forensics First Unit 4 Auditing Accounts Unit 5 Passwords and Policy Unit 6 Services, Ports, and Software Unit 7 Files, Permissions, and Scheduled Jobs Unit 8 System Settings and the Final Run You will need a computer that can run VirtualBox, about 15 GB of free disk, and 4 GB of memory to spare. Prerequisite: Intro to Linux. This course teaches no general command usage, it assumes it. The exception is timing: if competition is days away, start here anyway and look things up as you go. Already know how CyberPatriot works? Unit 1 is setup and scoring only. Install VirtualBox, import the image, then jump to Unit 2, or straight to Unit 3 if you have run practice images before.
